Visit Gruene

Only an hour away from is the quaint little town of Gruene. If you’re familiar with Texas, you might’ve already heard of Gruene Hall, a popular spot where great bands have played and good times have been had by many. However, Gruene has so much more to offer than a great dance hall!

If you’re looking some good food and a great atmosphere, the Gristmill River Restaurant is a local favorite. It’s one place that everyone around will tell you is a must. If you want a good, Texas burger, this is definitely a place to get one. This restaurant on the river offers a great ambiance that will help you enjoy the beautiful Texas weather and scenery.

The Grapevine is a cute little tasting room in Gruene that offers a great selection of wine. On Wednesdays, they even offer live music to accompany your tasty beverage, so head on out to the garden with your snacks and wine and relax. Have a good time here! Make sure to visit between 4-7 p.m. and take advantage of their Happy Hour prices.

Antiques in a shop at the Marche Dauphine, Paris

One of our favorite antique shops is the Fickle Pickles Antiques & Pickles. The pickles there are so delicious, even someone who doesn’t like pickles will like them. The antique shop is full of little trinkets and surprises that you might not even have known you were looking for. Looking for vintage dishes for your wedding? Look in this antique store!

Speaking of antiques, you must have your picture taken at Smiling Eyes Photo Gallery. It’s such a touristy thing to do but so it really is so much fun.  They offer the old-timey Western photos that you hate to love but you’ll be glad you took.
