Retro Rock & Roll Weekend

Even though the end of this weekend signifies the beginning of school, we’re glad you spent your last free moments with us! We had a great time ringing in the new semester with you, and we hope you had fun too! And don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of more fun adventures on the weekends, even though school is in session.

So, what are we planning for the first fall weekend? Only the coolest and hippest event of the season! Dress up like your favorite retro star, bring your old records, and let’s boogie down during the Retro Rock & Roll Weekend!

What the Weekend Looks Like

Our Retro Rock & Roll Weekend begins on Friday, August 28th, at 5:30 with Yogi Bear at the playground. Come out and say hi and meet some new friends! We’ll have a fun little game of Candy Bar Bingo at 7:30, followed by a family movie at Jellystone Theater.

Saturday will begin bright and early, per usual, with some good old fashion exercise at 9:30 AM with Yogi Bear at the Flag Pole. Then you can hurry and get ready for our Retro Rock & Roll wagon ride! Don’t forget your retro clothes and funky hair do’s! At 4:30 PM, we’ll cool off with a water balloon toss at the playground. Then dry off by the bonfire at 7:30 with Yogi, making s’mores and listening to stories.

We’ll end the weekend right on Sunday weather a good morning wagon ride at 9:30 AM, followed by family Wii games at 11:30 at Bluebonnet Hall.

Around Town

While you’re in the area, visit Luckenbach!

This small town packs a lot of punch! Waylon Jennings loved it so much he wrote a song about it. Enjoy a good old fashion country concert, or dance the night away at the Friday Night Dance! Stop in at any of the local restaurants and get treated like family, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.
