Next week, we’ll let you know what’s happening right here in our very own Fredericksburg, Texas!

San Antonio is widely known for its beautiful River Walk, and the best time to experience it is when it’s bright and colorful from all the holiday lights. One of the most fun and interesting holiday events that the locals look forward to is River Boat Caroling. Beginning at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 and running through Dec. 20, this event takes guests throughout the 2 1/2 miles radius  in the downtown area of the River Walk. Four or five boats float on the river each night carrying a different group every hour performing live Christmas Carols. The public is always invited to this event, and we suggest grabbing a table on the patio of one of the restaurants and enjoying a nice meal during the show! Caroling takes place nightly from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m.

Morgan’s Wonderland is a fun and family friendly way to ring in the holiday season. Open Thursdays through Tuesdays until Dec. 23, this magical place hosts an array of twinkly lights and live music for guests to enjoy, and even offers a petting zoo for the little ones. Santa Clause is always there, hanging out and ready to meet some of the kiddos. There are various shows, rides and attractions going on throughout the park, so check their website for dates and times.

If you want to experience something a little more uniquely festive this holiday season,

URBAN-15’s Holiday Laser Show is where you need to be. At 7 p.m. on Dec. 8, this multimedia laser show and with light effects and 3D animation brings life to all of your favorite holiday carols. This incredible event takes place one night out of the year, so don’t miss it! Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for military/students/seniors, and $10 for children 12 and younger. They can be purchased in person at the Alamodome box office or online at Parking for this event  is free in any city-owned lot as part of Downtown Tuesdays, so make sure to get there early to grab a good spot.
This is just a few of the many, great holiday events that are happening in San Antonio this season. Don’t be afraid to wander around and possibly stumble upon another fun holiday event!
