Christmas Happenings Part 2

‘Tis the season for lights and parades, Santa and his reindeer, Christmas carols and for chestnuts on an open fire. Christmas is a special place in the Texas Hill Country and we’ve wrangled up a few of our favorite upcoming events.

Light the Night Parade & Afterglow

Join us on December 2 in Fredericksburg for one of the best and brightest Christmas parades around. For over 20 years the parade has brought people from all over to witness as 130 bands, floats, horses and more will make their way down Main Street at 6:30 p.m. After the parade, come out to the Marketplatz on Main for the Afterglow celebration for a diverse selection of food, wine, holiday shopping and free pictures with Santa.

Luckenbach Christmas Ball

We love the old city of Luckenbach all year long but during Christmas the little town is extra special. The annual Christmas Ball takes place on December 17 and features live music and a world famous dance floor. Doors open at 8 and the dance starts at 9. Throw on your nicest jeans and your dancin’ boots and have yourself a ball.

Drive-Thru Christmas Light Fest

Open nightly through December 31st, Don Strange Ranch in Boerne features a 2 mile lighted drive with millions of lights and displays like you’ve never seen and ends Santa’s Village full of food, drinks and games. Visitors can drive their own car through the light fest although we’d recommend hopping on a Ho Ho Hay Ride and enjoying the scenic view from under the Texas night sky.
