Best places to hike in the area

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal ParkThis awesome park has so much to do! There is a volleyball court, basketball court, tennis court, a baseball and softball field, and finishing at Live Oak Creek. This beautiful park has 150 acres with rolling hills and 5 pavilions (each equipped with barbecue pits.) Hang out and enjoy this beautiful space with your friends, grill some burgers, and watch the sunset on this beautiful hill country.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area – We’ve mentioned Enchanted Rock before, and that’s because this place truly is just that: enchanting. One of the most popular things to do here is rock climb. This also a great area to bird watch, backpack around the trails, picnic, geocache, and even stargaze if you doing a little late night hiking.

Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic SiteVisitors to this park get the chance to see historical sights, go fishing, picnicking, swimming, and the natural habitat in the area. One site we recommend viewing if you get the chance is The Sauer-Beckmann Farm, a living history farm. Costumed actors carry out the day-to-day activities and chores of a turn-of-the-century Texas-German farm family. Some chores are seasonal, others, like tending to farm animals, must be cared for on a daily basis. The house is cleaned, meals are cooked, butter is churned and cheese is made daily.
